Preprogram Checklist

FIRST STEPS

  • I have sent Bill an e-mail confirmation of our booking.
  • I have returned the agreement along with a 50% deposit.
  • I have completed the online Pre-Program Questionnaire (found in the Already Booked Bill? section on the Web site), or downloaded a copy, completed it, and e-mailed it back to Bill.
  • I have downloaded any pictures, program information, and/or biographical information I need for my printed program and/or Web site.
  • I have downloaded Bill’s A/V needs and Intro/Outro.

ONE MONTH OUT

  • I have scheduled a conference call with Bill.
  • I have received Bill’s travel details.
  • I have made Bill’s hotel arrangements.

TWO WEEKS OUT

  • I have forwarded Bill’s A/V needs to the venue.

AT THE EVENT

Here is what you can expect from Bill…

  • He will notify you as soon as he arrives at the venue (and will keep you in the loop if there are any delays).
  • He will be completely accessible to you while he is on-site.
  • He will arrive in the program room for an A/V check at least an hour before presentation time (yes, even if that means 6am!).
  • He will have extra copies of his introduction with him.
  • Travel permitting, he will stay after his presentation to answer questions, sign books, or just chat.

AFTER THE EVENT

If Bill’s presentation was a home run, and you feel so inclined, you may do one or more of the following:

  • I will write a testimonial letter for Bill on letterhead.
  • I will e-mail Bill a two to three sentence testimonial that he may use for promotional purposes.
  • I will refer Bill to others I know who may be looking for a speaker.
