“Your business is getting exactly the results you’ve programmed it to.”
Is that a wake-up call for you?
It was for me when my friend Brian Tracy said it to me last year. He went on to say:
“If you’re unhappy with the results, change the programming.”
It’s really hard to argue with ironclad logic like that, isn’t it?
So let’s break it down. What does “change the programming” really mean?
It means thinking DIFFERENTLY about your business.
Thinking DIFFERENTLY about your products and services. Thinking DIFFERENTLY about your communications and marketing. Thinking DIFFERENTLY about your customers’ experience and journey.
Thinking differently.
Easy to say. Deceptively hard to do. And I know that because it’s something I work on with each and every one of my clients.
Thinking differently. Looking at your business through a different lens, from a different perspective.
Deceptively hard to do; but when you get there, it can be like moving from black and white to color, from 2D to 3D.
So here’s the question for you to ponder this weekend: Are you happy with the results you’re getting? (BTW, this question—and the solution—is equally valid for both your business AND your personal life.)
If not, change the programming.
Think differently.
